Food Assistance

Residents of the Cardinia Shire identifying themselves in crisis are able to access food from our well-stocked food bank. Visits are initially available as 8 visits spaced a fortnight apart.

Each visit clients will be asked to show identification proving residency in the Cardinia Shire. Food is available per household so please note we can only service once in the fortnight per household, not different members of the household each per fortnight.

Clients will shop, choosing from a range of fresh produce, frozen and refrigerated, dry and packaged goods, and toiletries.

Note: restrictions do apply on some items.

Much of the food is donated directly from producers, Foodbank Victoria and the general public. Some food is purchased.

The centre is open Mon to Fri, from 10am to 3pm* (*the last entry to the foodroom is at 2.15pm. No-one will be admitted after that time)

No appointment is necessary but identification must be shown showing residency in the shire before accessing foodroom. It is not necessary to be on a Centrelink benefit. Delivery is not available so please arrange transport to take food home.
